Believe it or not; Natives can sleep outside in that weather for months with no tents! They do it every year during whaling - it's very simple "they know" how to dress!! They know how to survive!!

How about the hundreds of thousands of people that are homeless because of "natural disasters" ??

Where is your answer for that James ?? How about people that are forced out of their homes because of a fires i.e. California and other forest fires .. set by 'animals'? (the two legged kind).

Please share your valuable wisdom James1313

I know a lot of homeless people and not one of them is homeless because they spent too much money or bought a 500,000 home.

It has absolutely nothing to do with living above their means!! Go to the shelter and talk to people and find out why; and throw that soap box away you are perched on James1313
So after the second or third time you became homeless it never occurred to you that perhaps you need to secure your property better?

Also James is correct, many people are homeless because they were stupid with money. Natural disasters happen - but saying that some people are homeless because of an event they could not control - therefore all homeless are not responsible for their circumstances is a logical fallacy (I can't think of the name at the moment).

Someone asked how one prepares for losing a job or a sudden illness. You save 6 months worth of living expenses and you buy insurance.

I am all for assistance for people who are homeless. Once you sink that low it is very hard to raise yourself out of the morass without help. I simply get tired of people saying that people are not responsible for their actions.

As for SityData being stolen from 8 times - here is a Chinese proverb: "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twince shame on me." I will add my line to it - "Fool me 8 times - LOL - ummmm - is anyone home?"
