Hughesnet 5 g vs 2 g (Anchorage, Fairbanks: houses, live, move)

Who has the newer 5 g i heard it's got a crazy angle almost to sunrise,,the dealer said it's alot better then the old system just wondering what you all think,though i like the dealer but just wanted customer reviews

What kind of news are you looking for? My understanding is that it won't be in Alaska until 2020 and you need a mobile that will work with 5G, which are coming out next year as well.

Im talking about the hughesnet internet satilite,for houses in the bush away from cable,use to be the satilite was a 2g it's their old system it's been around since the beginning but in certain areas of Alaska there's a gen 5 satilite from Hughes but it won't work everywhere it's angle of the sky is pointed at sun rise,,,I've talked to the dealer ,but just bored and wondering if anyone had the old one and now the newer one,,5 g phone stuff is a little different but thanks for the reply

I saw on infowars that 5g is going to fry our brains, cause cancer and allow for government mind control so it's probably best to stick with 4g or less for these very legitmate reasons.

My property had almost non existent cell phone service. You had to pray to the cell service gods, stand completely still and hope for the best just to make a call. I got a weboost brand cell booster off Amazon, installed the outside antenna approx 25 feet in the air and now I can stream pornhub on my phone without buffering downtime or watch netflix on my TV using a hotspot with my super duper ATT unlimited plus plan and of course never drop a call. It's quite amazing.

ETA: I now see your talking about something completely different. I've never met anyone satisfied with satellite internet up here. So if the new gen 5 or whatever satellite internet isn't way better than the old, chances are high it will be terrible.

The last one was slow but it was like 30 year old tech Alaska is just in a sheety place for space communication,,,#pornhub4life just saying

Haha, I know that satellite TV works well up here, but when I first moved up I had a SiriusXM radio and had to cancel it as it wouldn't work at all this far north. You can see some satellites flying by on certain clear nights and they must be for something. Maybe Hughesnet has got a new orbit pattern or whatever and it works better. It would be interesting to know if it did work well up here, because there would be many people interested in having Hughesnet if it was reliable and somewhat fast.

Wasn't Elon musk launching thousands of low orbit satellites to make high speed internet available everywhere on the planet? Had to look it up again, but here it is

Iridium just launched new satilies too hopefully Elon does it I'll read the article,,i looked into his off grid stuff but used lithium batteries and they can't be left alone with out a warmer in interior weather,,,

Heres a question when i personally installed my internet satilite which u can do by paying $200 or so to take a short class you'll be able to fix yours and anyone else that needs fixing i just tried to find wills number i wrote it on a piece of paper just go to Hughes net .com u can't look up Alaska theyll say no service for the area but call the 800 # say i need the Alaskan dealer for hughesnet they will give you wills number he's down to road from Fairbanks were that gas station and what ever that is a stones throw from town towards Anchorage he lives down the next road from that gas station and grouping of building anyway moral of this ramble when i installed or tweeked my dish i got it up to 50% or so .......75% is (the best) here's my question if that damn satilite if flying in a big circle around earth ,how does that satilite stay locked it,i barely move the dish and i lose the signal,,,i guess i could call will but I'll just put it out there to ponder on
