For a couple of winters now, Al Gore has stayed around Fairbanks as you can see in this News Miner article. It means to be funny

I'll bet there are tons of comments, that News Miner crowd can get tough! Especially with the bag tax and health care!

The plastic bag tax idea created a big stink, and it was retracted (never passed), which was a good thing. Using a paper bag to pick-up the dog's mess outside is not the best idea

I know, wasn't that crazy? Tax something to promote recycling without any plan whatsoever! I could spend hours reading comments on that! I thought I'd have to mail bags from Anchorage to my daughter to help her out.

When we traveled in Sweden and Norway you had to buy any and all bags!! Plastic was more expensive..don't know if it is still the same now as that was 5-6 years ago. I shipped good quality canvas bags to our friends as they really don't have the quality canvas we have...the have a recycled mesh type bags that only hold up so long. Our canvas you can keep washing and using for years.

I wouldn't expect the real algore to show up in an "unenlightened" place like Alaska. Good.

He's a city boy, he hangs in DC, NYC, in between plowing the Tennessee hills with his mule that is.
