Hello-
We are moving to FArgo later this summer from Massachusetts. I have enjoyed reading all the posts and learning about the areas, schools, restaurants, etc.
Does anyone know a child with Ulceritive colitis? My daughter is very upset to leave her Dr. here, and I would like to get some input from some experienced Fargo parents on which GI -pedi dr. would be best (ie. Fargo or Mpls.)
Here is a listing of Fargo doctors who specialize in that area of medicine....and this web site does have some feeback from patients. I am not familiar with the issue so cannot answer your question specifically but thought this list of doctors names might help out if you hadnt already searched.
MeritCare Provider Directory: Dr. Mark Blaufuss (http://www.meritcare.com/guidebook/directories/info.aspx?id=675 - broken link)
My almost 2 yr old daughter sees Dr. Blaufuss of Meritcare in Fargo. Wonderful doctor. She does not have ulcerative colitis, however. I believe he may be the only pediatric gastroenterologist in town.
By the way, he has a wonderful way with kids. I am sure you and your daughter would really like him. Spends a lot of time with you...never in a rush and very intelligent.
