Hello,

Hey guys I was wondering if Fargo has any after school programs for kids? Both my husband and I work full time and we have a child. Are there any programs offered at school for the hour or so between end of school and end of work?

Thanks

Now hopefully someone can be Fargo specific.... but I do know in my school district East Grand Forks MN....the kids have the option of stay at the school for the MASH program.... or the district will bus those students who want to attend after school programs at the YMCA.

I looked around Fargo and West Fargo school site and seemed as if the YMCA has learning centers at each school and kids can go to these from dismissal to 6 pm. Obviously there are additional fees incurred.

MIDDLE SCHOOL AGE LEARNING CENTER | YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties

If you do move to Kindred or other places nearby though smaller they would also likely have some kind of program as well for after school care.

I would call and check...

Fargo Youth Commission also offers some after school programs on the school grounds, so there isn't as much transportation involved. It typically involves an hourly fee, but can be more flexible I think based on number of days per week needed. There are other smaller programs as well; Grace Lutheran School offers an after school program for their own students if your looking at private schooling and the Academy for Children, a Montessori preschool/primary grade school has an after school option but doesn't offer any transportation.
