How high is short, average, and tall, for women and men (in their 20's, 30's, and 40's, more specifically)? I'll start this thread with Duluth, Minnesota (and probably Minnesota in general):

MEN / HOMBRES

Short: Up to 5'9"

Average: 5'10" - 6'1"

Tall: 6'2" or greater

WOMEN / HEMBRAS

Short: Up to about 5'4"

Average: 5'4" - 5'7"

Tall: 5'8" or greater

LOL. My thoughts exactly. But hey, the vato is from Minnesota; what the heck do they know about espanol? Nada. For the record: "women" in spanish is either mujeres or damas.

Hasta pronto, amigos.

Why would people be any different sized in different places? And even if they are (say one place has a high percentage of Japanese) the differences wouldn't be comparable to the ranges you've given because on average they might be 0.2 inches shorter.

Also, where did you get those numbers? You just guessed? And we're supposed to guess? And then compare our guesses?

Dang, I laugh out loud as well, but hey OP is right.....at least in urban language.
According to the urban dictionary Hembra literally means "feminine" in spanish, like when referring to female animals, but is usually another slang term for woman, lady, girl, chick

"Damn, look at that fine hembra over there."

"Hembra" is common (comun) on forms (formularios) where you have to fill out (llenar) what sex (sexo) you or a person (persona) is. I maybe should (quizas debiera) have said (haber dicho) "varones" (male) for males.

here, in Romania:

If you're a girl, you are:
- short if you are below 1.60 m.
- medium if you are 1.60-1.75
- tall if you are 1.75 +

If you're a guy, you are:
- short if below 1.70
- average between 1.70-1.80
- tall if 1.80+

I am the shortest of my siblings, and shorter than my husband and kids.
I am a 5'11" female.
Deduce what you will from that.....

I've lived on 2 continents, and several states......I've been considered tall in all of them.
