If you want modesty, why not just buy tops that AREN'T low cut to begin with??
[Sigh] If only designers would sell clothes that are NOT low cut. My girls aren't huge, I'm a 32C, but everything is too low cut that is in the stores right now. I am petite and short-waisted (meaning the cleavage is already up too high on my body for lots of shirts), so it doesn't help the way I'm built, but most shirts/blouses/dresses I try on in the stores are too revealing.
I wear cami's almost every day, even in 108-degree weather (like today). The bonus: they add a nice smooth line under my tops and you can even buy cute ones that hold you in and cinch your waist. I never have a muffin-top, even in the tightest jeans!
So, no, I wouldn't bother with the cleavage dickie!

Yes, I remember the "dickie" from days of old. My mom used to make them for me and make me wear them when she thought I was showing too much skin. As soon as I got out of eyesight of the house, that damn thing went into my pocket!

I have a lace thingy that fastens onto any bra and it is great for some tops that are too lowcut. If you think you would need something like this, it works out great.
If its not low cut don't wear it or do...but no dickie.
