Vermontcountrystore.com says the solid-fragrance compacts are being made again exclusively for them. Only the Flowers scents and the Seasonal scents are in stock. The Grasses scents and the Woods scents are sold out, and they don't expect to restock unless there is enough of a demand for them. Go to the search function and type in "Coty Sweet Earth."

There is also a link, "Suggest a Product," where you can tell them which products you'd like them to find. I asked them to bring back the Grasses and the Woods fragrance sets mentioned above, and the Coty Sweet Earth Suds, a facial cleanser/scrub they used to make. (If you need help describing it for them, I have an old Seventeen magazine that has the actual ad.)

Again, the more people who write in, the better chance there is to bring these products back. (By the way, I'm getting nothing for this, unless you count the fact that they might bring the other products back. )

It's $25.00 a compact, 3 fragrances per compact.

Woods collection: Sandalwood, amberwood, and patchouli
Flower collection: Hyacinth, honeysuckle, and ylang-ylang
Grasses collection: Clover, gingergrass, and hay
Special Seasonal collection for the holidays: Frankincense, myrrh, and mistletoe

(This company also sells shampoos like Lemon up, Body on Tap, Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific; Black Jack chewing gum; that Click-Clack toy; stuff like that...)

Not the clackers! They splinter into pieces and lodge in your eyes!

I used to love the Sweet Earth grass scents. I was such a hippie wannabe in the early 70s ... LOL ...

Body on Tap -- what a waste of good beer!

Ouch, I'm not sure I want to know what "clackers" are, but I'll ask anyway.

Is Coty still in business?

Back in the 1950's I wore a fragrance called simply "Coty" that I loved. Maybe it was one of their early fragrances.

I know, we always say those guys who invented those Clackers were child-hating psychos!

I liked the grass scents the best, too. I'm hoping they'll bring those back.

I don't think I ever used the Body on Tap, but I do remember it! I DID, however, use Lemon up.

Here is a link to the Clackers. You gradually let the balls start clacking against each other till they are clacking above your hands and below. Once you get them started, they are hard to stop. And the clacking sound gets pretty loud!

Quick Clacks available at The Vermont Country Store

And, yes, Coty is still in business. This website makes it sound like Coty started reproducing this product just for them, so...

Huh. I don't know about that one, Cunucu. Why don't you try requesting it?

I tried the Vermont Store re-makes and they were nothing like the originals. Save your money.

I remember Coty's Sweet Earth fragrance line well, and had the patchouli and ylang-ylang oils. I didn't buy the sachet compacts, though-- I got the little "silver" bottles!

Around that same time, I was using the one and only original Clairol's Herbal Essence shampoo. Thanks for the memories!

I probably had one at some time. Was always a perfume fanatic. I still wear straight amber oil once in a while.
