My wife doesn't like me to look "polished" at all. She prefers me unshaven, unbathed, (sweaty and stinky after a hard workout is best!), hair unkempt; dressed down in faded jeans and a tee; and libido in high gear.
And for anyone whow knows her, this would seem way out of character for her. She's refined, demure, polished, movie star gorgeous, and educated. And hangs out with classical music nerds, since she is one herself.
Go figure.
