Never heard of this. I can say that it got ZERO attention and news coverage here in Los Angeles. I think they are silly to try to get the beach to go topless. But, I think those the vid showed who are in opposition to them are even WORSE. The bearded guys with their stupid arguments of adam and eve, talking about the bible, and US military are just awful. Those guys are what is wrong with this vid. The crazy women not as much.

Well I am not a porn head either. But yeh. I was sorta sickened when I came across that info. Real rape porn is illegal. No projection from my part. It was a poll of males. I googled it, but I could not find any links that I was ok with clicking. Rape is an action of dominance and power. Its not really far fetched to see as men are obsessed with that in every other area of life. I think that "the virgin" was the second fantasy. Which I find so g.d. sick and funny in a twisted way of "yeeeeeeh...people are messed up!"

When I've been to Venice on more than one occasion a woman has set up camp near me and started tanning topless. At 18 I thought this was pretty cool, untill the Eric Estrada looking cop politely walked up and asked her to cover up. Which she did. I dont think its a big deal is LA which has more liberal tendencies than my midwestern upbringing. Thing is once youve been to a topless beach or two, its no big deal. Its probably good for an 18 yr old to realize all women are not built like pron stars.

There are times, when otherwise level headed good people make such ridiculous waaaaaaaay out of left field remarks that are so looney and based solely on fiction and/or made up make believe retardedness that you completely and totally reject that person and all they have to say about that subject matter. Its not about being grossed out. If it was, then fat "free willy" Leviathan sized women would be banned from wearing swimsuits of any kind. So will men who wear speedos. This is about people being uptight about the human body not about being "grossed out" as you say.

Again, you are missing the point. No one wants a "nude" beach. Its topless beach. HUGE difference. I would be totally against having a nude beach in any of our public beaches here in L.A.
While I personally do not have a problem with a designated topless section of the beach (just as I do not have a problem with the areas in the pools of many Las Vegas hotels that allow topless sunbathing), I DO have a problem with the idiots who want to bring in bible talk and references to this. I think in any group society you have to go with the most conservative choices for a reason. A work of art and some skank on the beach are two different things to me. But maybe thats because I don't get pleasure or think its fun to be staring at other people's boobs. Also you can elect to look at art or read lit. If you are just walking down the street and woops there some boobs? Thats gross to me.
