I have a short torso and really long legs. I find I can't tuck anything in and I can't even wear a belt without looking ridiculous. What do you other short torso people do about belts and tucking in shirts.

I don't but I was thinking maybe a slightly fitted top with darts that was a bit longer than top of the pants might look nice. I don't wear tops tucked in anyway, I don't find it particularly comfortable.

Depending on your build you may want to try tops made for petite women. I am not petite and I am long-waisted (i.e. I have a long torso, the opposite problem of yours) so I wear tops from misses but I often buy pants and sometimes even skirts from the petite section because the proportions are a better fit for my hips and short legs; my hips are very narrow in relation to my waist (26 inch waist and 33 inch hips, 29 inch inseam) and petite bottoms are proportioned better for my build below the waist.

Petite tops may be better proportioned for your build above the waist. You never know!

Wear lower waisted pants. Don't wear them over your belly button. Look for pants that hit right on your hip bone. Don't wear two very different colors on top and bottom either. Stick to slender understated belts.

Wear loose fitting belts that sit on your hips. Tie shirts rather than tuck them in. Buy cropped jackets. Smile- having long legs makes you look taller!

Guilty as charged. Short torso but long arms - even "regular" sized long sleeves are too short.

I never tuck anything in and I only wear belts when I absolutely have to. Otherwise, my disproportions are just obvious.

Oh, me too. People always suggest getting petite sizes, but if I do that, the sleeves are ridiculously short. I just don't wear anything with a belt. It makes me sad that I can't rock a belted trench coat or things like that, but that's life.

And not that I'm dying to go braless, but with a short torso that can't happen since the girls unsupported practically cover up my waist.

I also have a short torso and long legs. I don't really think about camouflaging it, because I like my proportions. I've actually been trying a few high-waisted pants/skirts, which probably exaggerates the short torso. Doesn't matter though, I like it.

That's actually very common. Buy "petite" size tops and "long" size bottoms.

And I don't like tucking any shirts in, I think it looks dated and dorky. So can't help you there, sorry!

I would love to be able to wear belted coats but the belt always sits above my natural waist. It looks quite ridiculous on me.
