product that's the opposite of an eyelash curler? (light, eyebrow, look)

I have fairly long, but very curled eyelashes. my lashes basically follow the curve of my eyelid up to my eyebrow (they almost touch my brow area when my eyes are open). I've grown quite annoyed by them b/c, from afar, them seem shorter than they are. they also make it hard to line my eyes and tend to leave mascara stains on my lids and eye shadow upon application. in the past, I used to coat them in mascara then hold them down as they dried, but it wasn't foolproof and it was time consuming. it doesn't help that I often wear glasses (though not usually when I go out to clubs) and the shape of my brow makes my eyes look slightly sunken in so the lashes are barely visible anyways except for the tips. considering all the products out there promising curlier lashes, it feels weird to complain. my roommate loves my lashes apparently and thinks I should stop worrying.
anyone have the same issues or have any ideas on how to make my lashes less curled and more visible?
