Anyone interested in handmade jewelry care to share links to their favorite artists? I'm talking more about high quality cast or fabricated one of a kind pieces rather than those that are just put together from commercial parts or beads. Although, if the artist is making their own beads then that would be interesting too. I like funky stuff such as the pieces that Emily Deschanel wears on 'Bones', and I like pieces made using unusual stone types or cuts.
Some, yes. I've found several things there where the artist misidentified the stones though, like identifying malachite as chrysocolla, or pink sapphire as ruby. There are some pretty things, but you really have to watch it there. I guess I'm looking more for artists that have enough sales to drive their own professional website.
I wish she had larger photos of some of her stuff. Is that a frog sitting under the central stone:
If so, that's hilariously whimsical.
why yes that is a teensy little frog - how adorable. Hmmmm, wonder if she has that in her store right now???????? ugh, what to do, buying jewelry this close to the holidays is probably not in my best interest ... hmmmm, now I know what to suggest to someone as a gift for me. LOL.
I'm glad you enjoyed her stuff. Here in this area of North Carolina we have an AMAZING artisan community. Some of the things that get made and the creativity by the residents of my town is incredible. If I can think of some more I'll let you know. There is this one girl who sells on Etsy that has the most unusual Victorian-inspired pieces. I'll try and find that link again. I've often thought I'd like something by her.
