I have 2 bras that are now around 5 years old and still pretty good to wear still.

But is that too long to wear them or is it okay still?

Depends on how many your rotate, how often they're washed, if they're machine-dried, etc. I tend to replace when the elastic starts to be too worn for a good fit. Salt from sweat can break down elastic, and so can drying it in heated dryers repeatedly.

As long as they're still working, they're fine.

Tabula is so right about rotation. I know from experience that wearing the same bra for a few days-they don't feel right. I did read that you should rotate every 3 days-meaning wear a bra 1 day then it should sit 3 days before being worn again.

I have three bras, two I bought this year and one I bought last year. I will throw away the one I bought last year sometime in summer of next year. It is good to keep a good rotation of bras and to not keep them around too long.

never ever put a bra in the dryer it ruins them . also hand wash is better if you hand wash them they will last longer . it is better to let them dry natural and put them away flat . I also heard that you should only wear a bra every two days and then let it set for two days after washing . Yes ladies rotation is everything .

Oh, I do rotate, every other day I wear a different bra (I have 8 different bras). But I do machine wash and put in the dryer. So, next time, I'll hand wash and let them dry naturally. Thanks.

I rotate four different bras and tend to buy new ones after about a year or two. I think as long as they still feel good and supportive you're fine.

I always machine wash, albeit on gentle, and in a lingerie bag to prevent snagging. I don't do hand washing. I hang all delicates to dry, though.

Until the elastic gives out. There are no rules.

I'd be shocked if they're still good after 5 years of going in the dryer. The dryer will ruin your bras pretty quickly!
