Hey, ain't nothing wrong with Goodwill, or Salvation Army, or St Vincent de Paul. I have made some FABULOUS finds. Granted a lot of the time, it's just being in the right place at the right time, but I don't know why people turn their nost up at second hand or thrift shops. It's not like it used to be. A lot of times now, they get brand new items from retail shops, stuff that has literally never been worn except to try on.

Aside from undergarments and swimsuits, I could care less if it's second hand. Oh, and shoes, depending the style. Like, I won't buy used sneakers or boots, anything with an absorbent lining, but dress shoes, if they hardly show signs of wear I will buy second hand. I just spray the insides with Lysol to kill any potential athletes foot, or other assorted cooties first! I've actually got a pair of Louboutin summer wedges. They're a little snug, but from the looks of the sole, they'd been worn maybe once, maybe twice and only indoors. The red leather was hardly scratched at all. They're probably $450USD shoes, and I got them for $25. I was pretty chuffed.

I've come across all kinds of designer things--Coach, Channel, Dolce & Gabana, Burberry,....even found a Cartier watch. It doesn't work, but the watchworks I took it to said it was authetic (the innards are marked/stamped). Unfortunately because I'm a larger lady, most of the designer things I can't wear, other than accessories, of course.

I'm all for Thrift shopping!

Yeah even since I was little, going to thrift stores was an exciting weekend excursion for me. I just like finding rare old things that you can't buy new in stores anymore.

I really don't care about name brands. If it grabs my eye, I don't care what it is! True enough though I have found a lot of new items in fantastic condition, still with tags on.

I particularly love 60's, 70's & 80's style clothing, as well as home decor. I also find a lot of good records and books.

My favorite jacket I'm just sure some little old lady used to own
