Well if she's a model that fits couture, then I think couture is unattractive. I would much rather see clothes on a goodlooking un-praying mantis lookalike than her.
I don't think that you are their target audience. And at any rate, I really doesn't matter what "we" think...it only matters what the designers (and their most devoted clients) think. If they like what they see they will book Ann for shows and ad campaigns.

An earlier poster said it correctly that the model should show off and enhance the fashion. If the model was too beautiful and sexy, all eyes would be on HER and not on the fashion.
Ann's entire body of work this season was phenomenal. She just needs to develop some type (any type) of personality because she has ZERO.
Is there really a need for all the nasty comments calling her "skeletal" and "disgusting"? Whoop-dee-doo, she's got a thin frame for a tall body. Her body is perfect for couture modeling and she photographs like woah. Why all the hate?
It's not hate but a true reaction in response to a question asked. I see a photo of her and I react with revulsion. Bony butts and concave chests go against my natural biological instincts. In person I'm sure I won't even notice her. But a picture was posted, drawing my negative attention.

When I see overweight people I want to react with revulsion, but if I were to make similar comments about a plus-sized model I doubt somehow it would be so acceptable.
I find it interesting that women are going on and on about how thin models affect the self-esteem of their daughters. When I was a kid, the models were thin too, but there was no hand wringing about it. Maybe it's because when I was a kid, a classroom of 30 would only contain 1 fat kid. Now it contains 24 fat kids...

It would be okay if you didn't say it in the presence of overweight people.
But everyone's overweight to some extent nowadays so that's why people don't take anti-fat commentary well. Because there are more of them around to take it personally.
I wouldn't say anything bad about bony, buttless girls in front of other bony people either. But bony people are few and far in between.

But my point is, why is it okay (as in okay with the general masses) to say such disparaging remarks in the presense of thin people about thin people, but when it comes to those who are overweight then it's considered rude and insensitive if done in front of those with similar body types. It's basically saying that these comments are only hurtful and detrimental to overweight people, but it's okay and acceptable to say whatever about and in front of thin people because they've been "the ideal" for so long that it's their turn now to feel bad (that's at least what many seem to be saying).
I think she looks unnaturally thin and bony, no matter how tall she is. In some of the pics she's downright skeletal. A few more pounds wouldn't hurt her. She has an interesting face, though.
