^ My dad had a coat almost exactly like the OPs made for him in the late 50s, it was black/white herringbone tweed, I still have it.

Love the coat Mo...it is hot, hot, hot. A guy wearing a coat like that would catch my eye. Very classic, a great choice.

After seeing that coat, I suspect that person was jealous and just wishing they had a coat like yours! THAT coat has style with a capital S.

I love that coat, it is well cut, smart and elegant yet also "minimalist" in a way. A "Classic". I would ignore the comments personally. wear what YOU feel comfortable and feel you look good in. Then again this type of coat is pretty much the type I would chose over anything if I was a man...

Those comments sound like jealousy and a sense of inadequacy to me ! I personally wish more men knew how to dress like that. I think it is truly sexy for a man to look well dressed.

I get intimated by well-dress people.

It looks great!

I suspect that somebody who is "intimidated" by somebody wearing a coat like that is more used to seeing guys in attire like this:

Love the coat. It's very elegant and it makes me think it's something someone like Cary Grant would wear. You have excellent taste OP.
