I'm sure they don't look like the grotesque displays of "manliness" I've seen.

No, not gross, just muscles and broad shoulders. I don't do it or have them to show off. I need them to do my job. It is funny when you go to the gym and some guy who has been working his tail off for months doesn't come close! lol I feel bad for him, I really do! lol Stop looking though man. You are weirding me out! lol

Generally such veins only pop when one is exerting oneself, as in working out at the gym. I don't thing most guys, even those that are muscular, have "bulging veins" normally. Are they visible? Yes. The less body fat, the more visible. And since I prefer a guy that is in shape, consider me to be in the "like" crowd.

I think most girls would find this: http://soci313bourdieu.webs.com/male-body.jpeg a good balance between muscular and cut, but not steroid looking. I know alot of girls like the "V" lines where the legs and the hips connect on a guy.

Yep. Looks great to me.

I don’t know any bodybuilders so I don't know. I've seen some televised contests where they pose and stuff. Is everybody in the back, pumping iron so their muscles pop?

Hypertrophy is what they they're shooting for.

I'm not uninformed. I simply stated what *my* experience was in *my* life with the people *I* know who are serious athletes.

You are uninformed. You exposed yourself on that front when you insinuated that you could distinguish between users and non users simply based on appearance. Unless you were personally **** testing these athletes you claim to know, you really have no idea who was or wasn't on steroids.

Arghhh hardcore bodybuilding is a joke. So unfunctionable to living a normal, productive life. Then again for many its an addiction, we all have those.

I always wonder how they wear regular clothes. I guess a tank top and stretchy shorts would fit, but what about a suit? What do you wear to a wedding--how do you wear a button-up shirt when your neck is a foot across?

My son is a competitive bodybuilder and personal fitness trainer. He has the bulging veins, but only when he's "on cycle" and preparing for an event. Otherwise he looks normal. When he buys a suit it has to be altered because his arms and thighs are larger than a suit his size would normally accommodate.
