I have been wearing a sweatshirt with shorts for years. I do it a lot in the spring and fall...I hate pants. In the winter I am forced to wear them. Once it gets above 50 F, I wear shorts.
How is shorts and a hoodie any different than jeans and cami or sleeveless tops?
At any rate, shorts in winter are stupid unless you're in a gym.
I think that depends on where you live. When I was in Texas, I wore shorts in the winter with a sweatshirt. I hate wearing pants. BUT then again it wasn't as cold then as it has been this winter in Texas.
Here in Florida, I wear shorts year around...
I don't know that this is a dress trend rather then people just being comfortable.
I'm the opposite of you. I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE, loathe, and despise wearing shorts, and haven't for years unless working out. I wear jeans or other pants all summer long, unless I'm wearing a sundress. Hence the cooler tops.
Definitely no one's wearing shorts up here, not yet anyway, too cold without something underneath. But I remember other kids wearing wearing shorts and hoodies all the time, back to middle school and further (which isn't that far back for me), it's not really a trend I think, it's just being comfy.
That is the typical fashion of the hard core music scene. It is pretty old, began with the straight edge movement and then resurges, typically with violent youths, in one part of the country or another from time to time.
