The Olsens are part of a new breed of fashionistas, like Chloe Sevigny and Alexa Chung, we can't keep admiring Audrey (or ummm...Givenchy) and Jackie O solely. That's the fun part of fashion - there will always be new muses.
I'd also like to add Gaga to the list. She gave McQueen some serious mainstream appeal.
I never get the feeling that she's had a stylist saying, "Oh, Look what XXX gave you to wear. Don't forget to mention that name." She's a total original and probably doesn't give a flying fig what we think of her. Love people who can step outside the box like that and be freeeeeeeee!
Tell me that this woman does not own it. Mary-Kate would never have the guts to wear these shoes. Make sure you see the shoes.
The thing about HBC is she is who she is....I absolutely admire her for that.
Now, that said, those shoes
I did like the pink outfit -whichever Olsen twin was wearing it. I do wish the sleeves fit properly though. I hate it when sleeves (on a jacket especially) fall to mid palm....an otherwise presumably lovely outfit has a sloppy detail IMO. With as small as those young ladies are already, it goes back to the "I raided my mother's closet to find something decent to wear" look.....
I keep wanting to tell both of them to pull back their shoulders and stand up straight.
And eat something.
(But I like the pink.)
"Eat something" is kind of offensive. I'm naturally a size 0-2 and I get that comment all the time. And it usually comes from women that have seen the bottom of a bag of chips but not the inside of a gym. Some people are naturally petite and while MK Olsen had some eating problems that came to light awhile ago, lets not be haters.
So true. What is it with fashion people that smoke? It's outrageous in Europe! Yuck.
