Hello,

The hat in the photos was my favorite hat. Honestly it was getting a little old but someone stole it and I really want a replacement. I live in paris, and I've looked in most of the hat stores here.

It was made of thick wool, but woven and very strong. The seams were 'inside seams, i.e. the two pieces were folded over then sewn together with stitching about 5mm to each side of the seam

Here's a big clue: there was a tag on the inside that said 'GB'...no other tags...and it looked to be fairly old, maybe from the 70s or 80s.

I've redrawn the tag to the best of my memory.

Thanks for your help!

I'd call that hat Early Cuban Revolutionary.

Saks 5th Avenue markets it as a military cap.

I was just looking at this in the store. They've made a minor comeback. Take a peek around Nordstrom's or Saks' website. Depending on the designer, it will run from $20-75.

Given that you're shopping in Paris, this price in Euros ranges from insignificant to minor expenditure. However, finding it in wool may be difficult.

Probably an old school Goorin Bros. Cadet hat.

Those seams are called "flat felled" if you need to ask at the store.
