Yes, because the general U.S. population is in danger of becoming too skinny. I think only about 2/3 of us are overweight or obese.

Yes, exactly. Not parting with my 23/24 inch waist anytime soon.

I only wear skinny jeans now as everything else looks outdated. However, I agree with the other posters: you need to be slim to pull it off. I am a size 0, but if I was a size 2 at my height (5'4") there's no way I would feel comfortable wearing them. Women that are of average weight look best in straight (but not skinny) jeans.

Too skinny = losing menstruation due to damage done to the body. If that doesn't happen, then I don't consider a girl to be "too skinny." God forbid we applaud the girls who keep their body fat down by eating healthy and exercising!

My husband and I have been watching old 80's and early 90's TV series like Twin Peaks and 21 Jump Street and the Dark Shadows revival series. (It's a good laugh!)

People were so tiny back then!

Was it the drugs/cocaine or did we have less of the growth hormones in our meat and dairy or what?

Yeap and I would never reccomend anyone to get THAT skinny. Fixing that problem is hard, it happened to me.

Now, I could lose some weight LOL but my periods are normal thank God!

I think it depends on the build as well. I'm on the thin side (5'8, 130 lbs, size 2 or 4) and I look awful in skinny jeans.

When you weigh more than a majority of men.

I would say as a general rule, unless your very tall-5'10+, women should really not weigh more than like 140. And that's being generous.

I am about 5'7 and weigh 115.
