Barefaced Or Made-up? What does your s.o. like? Do you prefer it the same way?

I threw my S.O. out months ago so I don't care what he likes, but he didn't see me with makeup until we'd known each other for months so I figure he preferred me bare-faced. I rarely wear makeup and even when I do, it's very light and subtle...powder, under-eye concealer, a little blush, a dash of mascara, and maybe...MAYBE...lipstick.

My husband thinks he likes barefaced, but he actually likes the make up that doesn't look like makeup look.

I use Bare Minerals foundation which I love and does great things whilst being basically undetectable. An eyebrow pencil, a sweep of shimmery shadow, a hint of eye liner, mascara (my favorite product) and a natural lip with gloss.

I do go heavier on the eye makeup if we're going out and he likes it, but generally he far prefers a well groomed but more natural look. As do I.

Maybe the make-up scared him

Yup, my hubby is the same way. He totally *thinks* he likes no make-up, but he actually loves the "natural" make-up look.

I guess I am the only one so far that likes the opposite.

I barely wear make-up usually and we went to a mother's day breakfast with his family and I just washed my face and went. He said he hates that I cover up my skin with makeup because its "so nice". And then I tried to get an answer out of him to as why the make-up looked bad. Which the only answer I got was that it covers up my skin. LOL

I don't cake it on like a clown but grrrr...I get so annoyed when guys can't answer girly questions or are afraid to. LOL I even asked him if I looked dry, like a clown, like a tranny, like its the wrong color,scent...lol
Its none of those so WHAT IS IT? Anyone?

And now they flip of that is there is this deep red lipstick I wear that makes him go crazy. Mixed signals?

I kinda think lipstick looks off/wrong without having foundation on but he doesn't.

My so doesn't care lol...I think it depends on what is appropriate for the event. When I wear evening makeup he compliments me just as when I barely wear any to the gym.

No, it didn't.

What scared him is me expecting him to behave like an adult and to take adult responsibilities seriously. But that's another topic for another thread. This is about makeup, and he thought I looked beautiful with or without it.
