Do you like the minerals type powder foundations? Any favorite brands?

Sadly, they irritate my skin. Ironic.

I've had great results with bare minerals. It smooths out my skin tone, which is naturally very splotchy, but doesn't look or feel like a mask. I'm used to using bronzing powder instead of blush, so their "warmth" is perfect for me.

It's true too, that some people have sensitivities to some of the ingredients.

I use Bare Minerals, which I like a lot because it evens out my skin tone without being opaque. Liquid or cream foundation tends to look masklike on me. I do wear a bit of concealer, though.

I like coastal scents mineral foundation. A little bit can really cover and they have sample sizes and different finishes.

I use the same. Bare Minerals and a bronzer instead of blush.

I have pretty even skin tone but the bare minerals minimizes the appearance of my freckles...I've always hated them! You can't see them in pics unless they are fairly close up, but in person there is no mistaking that I have them.

Liqued foundation just feels too heavy and cake-like after getting used to powder. I don't know if I could ever go back.

I also use Bare Minerals and really like it. I use their Hollywood brush to apply and it goes on evenly. Warmth is a good "blush/bronzer," especially as we go into spring and summer. Their mascara is also very nice, if you haven't tried it.

I am too thrifty to spend near $30 on foundation, lol.

I've heard Milani has a good drugstore version around $9 , (with a crappy brush though!)

If you mean the Bare Minerals makeup, it is sort of pricey, but I bought the "starter kit" for about $65. It included two shades of foundation (which I mix according to the season), "warmth" bronzer, mineral veil finishing powder, some brushes, and face primer. It has lasted several months so far, but then again I do not wear makeup every day.

I agree with Julia...

I don't wear make-up everyday, maybe 4 days a week or so, but it lasts longer than the liqued I used to buy.
