get over it. skinny women have curves, heavier women have curves. you're not special. i dont understand why you think you need a dumb term to define the way you look.
Curvy tends to mean less toned, slighter more bloated or bigger than what would be considered "sleek". Everyone has their own concept of what kind of body they can live with; we shouldn't necessarily put our standards on others. If people want to be fat, blobby and out of shape that is their business.
I think "curvy" really just means, simply enough, that curves are present...that one's hips and breasts are wider than their waist, i.e. not a more narrow-hipped, flatter-chested, straight up and down boyish figure. Basically the difference between Agyness Deyn in a swimsuit and Kim Kardashian in a swimsuit.

Wrong, because there's no way we as a society can afford the health care costs related to all the illnesses associated with obesity in such a large percentage of the population.
I have a suggestion - Why don't we all try just letting people live their lives the way they see fit. If they want to attach a label to themselves - let them, we don't need to do it for them.
In light of the suffering in the world - is this really important in the grand scheme of things?
I think it's so funny that someone like cancerianmoonprincess, who would post this topic:
"Beauty pageants: degrading or not?
I personally think they're pretty degrading. I mean, how would men feel if they had to parade in speedos or g-strings and be judged? I mean men already have insecurities about "size" so why add more?"
....would also go through the trouble of posting a thread that's specifically targeting fat women, and making them feel judged and degraded (to use a couple of terms from her question).
I have no problem with some curves as long as a woman has a thin waist and flat stomach. A few extra inches in the bust or hips are fine.
