I was surprised by this story on APM's Market Place radio program. The latest YouTube phenomenon is "Haul" videos. It is interesting what people want to share with others, and also interesting how many people watch

OMG haha! I hate haul videos so much, I can't even begin to word how much I hate them.
Okay, I understand doing a haul video for purposes like reviews and deals (price comparison, where to get them, etc.).
But to just tell a bunch of strangers what you got on your most recent shopping trip is pointless. It's basically showing off and bragging about your junk.
Haha... wow. I actually thought those "haul videos" were interesting. What the heck is up with that? lol I was wondering WHY someone would record a video for the sake of showing what he/she bought, but strangely, I see that it is quite... addicting?... to watch. Bizarre.
What did I buy today? I bought two sets of cloth hairbands by Scunci from Walgreens. haha I am quite the penny-pincher so I usually don't go and buy clothing and the likes unless I need to. I know that sounds odd coming from a girl, but I've got many more important things to spend money on right now. College students aren't exactly rich... I can't splurge.

Yes, I didn't post this thread to be critical. These vids are much like today's Twitter and texting. As a foodie, I have to admit that I have found some of the grocery haul vids interesting
