I'm pretty happy with the way my legs look, but I prefer longer skirts (past the knee length) than mini skirts. There's something so versatile about them that allows you to pair them with different articles of clothing for some great looks.

At 5'4" tall, the most flattering lengths for me are exactly knee length up to about 3" above the knee.

I look dumpy when skirts fall below knee length.

Me too. The mid-calf length skirts that are out now are Frump Length on me.

Did you ever watch old black and white movies? I think those women look elegant, as opposed to cheap and slutty. I guess it's just what your eye is trained to see. The women I admire are not fashion models, most of them, and they tend to be older. They have a few bucks and probably get their clothing especially made for them. I can not even imagine them in skirts above the knee. They expect to be taken seriously in the business they are in and are meticulous concerning their clothing, and that it conveys a proper image. I guess it just depends where your values are.

Of coarse, there is a place for everything and I would rather see women wearing whatever they like than to follow fashion 'trends' set for them by some money making machine. I think small minds follow 'fashion'. That, and the very young.
