I didn't mean that it would be insulting to call a straight man gay, more that the notion that straight men are automatically slobs isn't exactly favorable.

I don't even like the idea of "gaydar." People seem to somehow think more highly of themselves when they can "spot" someone who is gay, as if a gay person were some kind of exotic creature and/or extraterrestrial living among "the normals." And to decide whether you think that someone is gay (or anything else) based on their appearance? Get over yourself, you're not God on the throne.

Besides, honestly I couldn't care less if a person is gay or not. I choose friends by character and similar affinity, not by sexual orientation.

You must be sooooooo fun to hang out with....

....and this thread has nothing to do with friendship and such. Just a general question about dress.

That is exactly what my friends tell me, straight and gay ones.

I know dressing well is a matter of personal taste, but you get my drift....
It depends. There's a straight way to dress nice and a gay way to dress nice. I'm as straight as an ironing board and I wear brands like Guess, Express, Buffalo, BR, etc, which women find appealing and fashionably masculine. Stay away from Burberry, LV, Gucci and AX, which have GAY written all over them.

And for chrissakes, don't wear skinny jeans!!!! That's the most gay thing ever invented

No. I outgrew such ignorant and narrow minded thinking a long time ago.

I think the OP is gay. Look at his post. He says that people are gay because they dress up yet he also says (And I mean well as in something you would noramlly see in Europe (because they DO dress better) or in a magazine.)

So he looks at these magazines and maybe he likes what he sees, after all he's looking isn't he?

By the way I dress well and the ladies love it including pink, purple and even baby blue.

from what ive seen: man sees another man not dressed like he himself would dress so he must be gay.
Woman sees man dressed in a way that isnt what her ideal man would be wearing so he must be gay.

Overall, society (for the most part) thinks "if youre a guy and youre not wearing what we want you to then youre gay".
