I have only used dye in my prior washing machine which was a top loader.

Has anyone tried to dye anything in a front loader, and how did it turn out? Tips?

Thanks!

Unless it's a very small item, frontloaders don't "soak" well (at least, mine doesn't actually "fill" with water!)...they only use about 1/3 the water of a toploader. I'd use a container of some sort....one of those plastic storage bins might work, if it's a large item.
Generally, you do have to soak items in the dye for a period of time.
