I stopped buying clothes a while ago because it finally hit me that I only wear a particular pair of footwear and jeans everytime even though I have nothing less than 7 pairs of each.
Plus, I recently started working in a Chemical Plant where it's mandatory for employees to wear Flame Retarded Overalls at work. This probably facilitated and sustained my decision.
I'm a guy. I'm fine with three pairs of jeans, two pairs of khaki pants, and one pair of slacks. About six to ten shirts is ok. I wear a uniform for work so I have seven uniforms (work seven days straight with two days off). I have one pair of shoes for work, one for exercising and wearing out of the job, one for khaki, and one for dress occasions. Seems some of you need to do what my ex-wife use to do,...make your own clothes. To save money, she bought fabric and patterns and made her own clothing.
