In the end you just have to trust yourself with a look in the mirror, and today women can look much younger with diet and exercise. If your tummy is great I am sure it's fun to show it off!

Enjoy your moment in the sun, just make sure you cover up before the sun truly sets!

Only on the beach, a pool/patio party, or at home in private ... anywhere else is in bad taste no matter what the age.

I know a few women in their late 40s who have better stomachs than 18 year olds.

Kids these days are all fat and soft.

I don't know exactly what the cut off age is, but I personally have not worn a midriff baring shirt since my early 20s. I wore a halloween costume in my early 30s that showed my stomach, but that's about it.

I'm 40 right now and I definitely have the figure to wear it, but I just think it looks trashy at this age. I have no problem wearing a bikini to the beach, that is an appropriate place to show my stomach. I work out six days a week and eat clean, so I work very hard at staying in shape. I do like to dress sexy now and then, yet classy, no midriff shirts and I like my skirt just above my knee, no shorter. I want to dress like I'm 40, not 20.

And BTW, I don't care what everyone else is wearing, I only care how I present myself.

I will wear a hipster bikini to the beach after a few of Activia(lets be real shall we?) but I have not shown tummy in streetwear since I was 23. Too many kids, not a starring feature. But I have nice legs and I have pushed the short(but not micro mini) skirt rules in casual wear. I don't then want to sound snarky(and most women here are not)and say tummy showing is VERY young, but it really is.

Mona Lisa is right, you have to care how YOU present yourself. I think the question is not just am I too old to wear this, but does this outfit present the person I want to be to live my ideal life? Do you have goals for yourself that would be hindered if women and even men dismiss you due to very youthful, attention getting attire? If not, then bare away!

Mostly for teens or at the beach. That's my opinion.

Question of the Day: Is A Woman Ever Too Old To Bare Her Midriff? | Coco & Creme (http://cocoandcreme.com/2011/04/question-of-the-day-is-a-woman-ever-too-old-to-bare-her-midriff/ - broken link)
I wouldn't say anyone is necessarily "too old", I just think it's a matter of "class". I don't want to see anyone's midriff, truly, unless I'm at the beach/gym (and that's usually questionable). When I see a woman over 30 dressing so immature, they scream desperate. I'm not sure what kind of men they think they'll attract with that look...

Its unattractive for any age, regardless of how fit someone is. IMO, just not a good look.
