I have always had a preference for this particular type of woman.

Petite frame
Athletic
Short
blonde and red heads
younger than me.

Now, is this being shallow or just particular.
I found that i rejected a lot of women who did not meet these standards in the past.

It doesn't sound shallow to me--everybody has preferences--but if you focus only on your physical type and ignore a woman's personality, then you are setting yourself up for trouble.

In my opinion (and maybe I'm saying this because I'm married) some of the most beautiful women I have ever met would hardly be called attractive by looks alone.

I guess what I'm saying is, if you go by looks alone you're pretty shallow. On the other hand, if you're capable of approaching a woman that is less attractive without the alterior motive of sex just to strike up a conversation and become attracted to them because you connect on something deeper than sexual desire, then you're just particular about your women.

Why would this be shallow? Everyone has certain preferences.

Depends what your mom looks like...because instead of being shallow it could actually just be really creepy.

This is not shallow at all. Everyone has their preference. We can't just accept everyone regardless if we're attracted to them or not. Relationships would be disastrous.

Not shallow at all. You shouldn't have to second guess your taste in women because someone else might be offended or narrow minded enough to think of you as shallow.

You're hard wired to like what you like. I think you'd be shallow if you dated women who fit that type but couldn't hold a relationship if something happened to it.

Like -- you meet a woman who has all your attributes, and then she gets hit by a bus and can't be athletic. She puts on 25 pounds while she's healing.... and even though she's healing and will get back to her old athletic self ... and you dump her.

THAT'S shallow.
