What fashion trends have made a comeback and you still remember when you first saw the wave coming back and to this day think back on it?

Whenever I think hard about capri pants I'm always reminded of middle school. I clearly remember the first time I ever saw a pair. I got off the bus, ran in the house and my mom already had the TV on and I turned it to TRL (back when MTV was decent and about music and videos and not trash) and I'm pretty sure it was the premiere of Genie in A Bottle the video and the whole time I was like "What kind of pants are those! I want those pants"

And they were jean capris. After that all of a sudden one day capris were everywhere.

Other than that I remember shopping one day and all of a sudden thinking I was in the maternity section of Macy's because the 70s peasant blouses that are so billowy and look pregnant. At the time I refused to wear them because I felt that too many teen girls were getting pregnant and I didn't want anyone to think I was hiding a baby bump.

I still feel that way about those shirts. I think they worked great in the 70s but now with 16 and Pregnant and all and me looking 18-20 when I'm pushing to 25 I'll pass.

My favorite is the retro sneakers, the return of Converse shoes from the 1960s and Pumas and Adidas from the 1970s and 1980s. I'm wearing the same sneakers now that I wore in high school.

Everything comes back eventually. There aren't a lot of new ideas in fashion. It's the job of the designers to keep changing what's in style so people have to buy a lot of new clothes unnecessarily.

I saw ad Old Navy ad the other day for big puffy coats..... I get why classic styles come back around, but not why the unflattering ones do. I mean, seriously, how many people need a little extra "padding" ?

Yeah they're a lot more attractive than those big white boats people were wearing in the 90s and that you still see on tourists. I love my Puma Speeders.

I know! It's probably what was coming down the runway. But those are walking pencils and the average person that weighs more than 110lbs doesn't want extra padding or for women anything that exaggerated the hips.

I have hips. I don't do blouses that cover my hips because it makes me look really big when I'm not or pregnant which I'm damn sure not

I just got a pair of Puma Clydes. I hadn't seen them around in years. I love the retro styling. I always loved those shoes and it's great to have them again.

I wear a brown 'n' black wool fringed poncho that I got in '72. It was stored for decades, then mailed to me when my mother died. It still looks great, and twice I have been asked where I bought it. A 40-year-old poncho! They were coming back for a year or two there, so i haven't felt awkward in it at all.
