That is, two pairs of dress shoes to go with everything in your wardrobe for the next five years or so. If that were the case, what would you choose in styles, colours, heels, and designers (optional)?
Remember, those two pairs of shoes would be the only things you have to wear on your feet for the next five years when you go out to dinner, meetings, get-togethers, dates, etc., so Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, or Christian Louboutin might not be a good choice in less-than-showy occasions.
Oh good grief man, that's a HORRIBLE situation to put any woman in; HORRIBLE! That said, a pair of basic red peep toe patent leather pumps and a basic strappy black sandal (ugh). Now if you mean that I had to wear these to work as well, then that would have to change from red peep toe to closed toe pump and black strappy to basic black pump. Both of which I would hate because while they are good for work they offer no pizazz for dinner, formal wear, or get togethers. As far as the Manolo Blahnik Choo or Louboutin, meh. I'm more of a Fluevog, Poetic License, Irregular Choice kinda girl. (I like for my shoes to make a statement.)
Yes, you do have to wear them to work, and to dinner, and to the mall, and to dancing, and on a date. Sport shoes do not count, only dress shoes that you have to narrow down to two pairs. Very special occasions, such as weddings, funeral, or red carpet on Oscar night are exceptions to the rule.
i don't even know. i have the boots, but they were a gift so i have no idea how much they cost. both styles are out of circulation now. if i had to guess, i'd say the boots were probably ~$300, shoes ~$250.

I'd have to go with black 3i/2" heel pumps and nude or beige 31/2 " pumps.
Most versatile, but it would be boring.

I currently don't have one pair of dress shoes so I guess the shoes I own will just have to do (gasp)........the horror of it all.
Atarazia, you just ruined me with those Fluevogs. Now I am contemplating three pairs, which of course I cannot have all, unless I want to create marital discord. One of those three is unisex, and I am not sure it would work as far as size goes.

What kinds of shoes do you have?
