I have read this in a number of threads. Lately, I have noticed that my DH, in his late 40s, seems to have greener eyes, almost a pale emerald. Very beautiful, but when we met, over 25 years ago his eyes were hazel.

Has any one noticed this?

My eyes are lighter and greener than they used to be. My oldest daughter had cocoa-brown eyes when she was little, but they are lightening to hazel. I don't really know what causes our eyes to be the exact color they are. I know my eyes are generally greener when the whites of my eyes are red, like if I've been crying. Perhaps my eyes are slightly redder all the time now, which might make them look greener?

I feel like mine have changed. They seem to even change with diet. I also notice this in my cat's eyes of all things. LOL. Whenever I am having a meat heavy diet I get really dark brown (almost black) eyes with red and green flecks. When I am eating more vegan-ish my eyes turn into a medium green brown hazel. I feel ok in both stages. Its strange.

I noticed my cousin's eyes his were Green 5 years ago .. Now changed into Brown ..
I think it's genetic sometimes and it depends on your body health witch make your eyes brighter or more color deepness ...

As a kid I had blond hair and blue eyes.
By college, I was a green-eyed brunette.... and have stayed that was for 30 years.

I had dark brown eyes as a child but about 13 they turned hazel. Today they are almost completely green. One of my children was born with brown eyes but his turned hazel at about age 7. He's 49 now and they are completely green.

I also mentioned in another thread that I have family members whose eyes change from brown to green as they age. E.g. My uncle had brown eyes as a child, then hazel eyes at middle age, and very green eyes in his 70's/80's. He also had cataracts, so I'm not sure how this affects eye color.

My daughter has a very cool eye color. They are green/gray/gold depending on what she wears. I guess that's hazel? Though they don't have any brown in them. I once asked an optometrist if the color would change and he said wearing sunglasses might keep her eyes from getting darker. I had never heard this before and don't know if it's true.

Using Latisse can darken, permanently, the color of your eyes.
