I've spent maybe $50 in the past 6 months.

In high school I used a eye liner stick from Aziza (which back in 1976 was a high end brand) called plumwood. It was a great plummy brown that made my dark blue eyes pop. My mom (who I got my eyes from) took it over when I got bored....

She died in 2010, and she was STILL USING IT.... it was the tiniest little nub of a pencil by then...

A few hundred for me. This is total stash so I'm also counting the stuff I've bought that I don't like and couldn't return or give away and the stuff that is almost empty. I've found that el cheapo cosmetics aren't worth the plastic they're packaged in. It's best to take care of your skin from the ground up, if we're counting my organic skin serums and moisturizers, you an and another hundred or so to the pot.

Now hair care products... that's another topic. Don't open the cabinet without a hard hat!

Woman, you have way too much.

I prefer Ulta and I spent 150$ a couple of weeks ago. I might have a total of 300 in my supply, including one 60$ brush. I really don't wear much but what I do wear is the more expensive stuff.

I probably have a few hundred dollars worth. A year ago I purged a pile of it when I moved.

But don't you find that even if you have a lot of makeup you have your go-to products---i.e. you tend to turn to the same ones quite often? So, some are the stars and some are just bit players?

That seems the case for me---- like despite having dozens of lip glosses, I still would run out of my Chanel lip glosses, because those are the ones I was using all the time. Or a particular Mac eye-shadow like Eden.
