I hear they use photoshop. I really don't care enough to photoshop my own photos though. Afterall, people already know what I look like in real life, I doubt people will judge me based on facebook pictures
If they do, chances are I don't care about them anyways
I would tie the use of photoshop with being insecure.
one thing is if you are a super model who has to look perfect for a fashion magazine (its their job!), another thing - just regular dumb people who want to make themselves prettier than they are in real world.
I never understood the point of it. yeah go ahead, erase your fat ass, get rid of your pimples and inflate your boob size, but god forbid I see you in real world and what I saw in the picture doesnt match the IRL specifications .
A lot of people do it, they put the weird effects on and I don't mean like those effects you can do on an Apple but just change light, contrast and color saturation. I admit I've done it on my Myspace/Facebook. Fat girls do it a LOT as many of u are familiar with the "Myspace Angle" that makes people look thin
Even if they don't use Photoshop, a lot of people will only share photos of themselves from a flattering angle or in a very bright or high-contrast setting. Maybe they don't realize that their favorite photos don't resemble them in real life.
There was one person who put up some nice self-portraits of herself, and nobody could tell that she was 200 lbs until they got to the last photo, which was a candid.
I am noticing the same thing with regular people as well. how they look one way in photos then when you see them in person they look completely different. are people photoshopping their own pictures to make themselves look more attractive?
Not necessarily. Some people just look different in photos than in person, though usually that's in cases of people who aren't photogenic, so the photos look worse than they do in person.
