If you're a guy, with the exception of ear piercings, of course.

I'm not a fan...earrings are okay (although no earrings are fine too, I don't tend to notice a girl's ears). I just don't find them aesthetically appealing, whether nose rings, studs, lip piercings, nipple, tongue. It also just looks uncomfortable for the wearer (even though I'm sure it's not). What if say, your lip ring your caught somewhere? Ugh, it's a yucky thought. Whether it was a deal-breaker would depend on how big/how many.

If you're a lady, also comment on ear piercings on men as well as all the other types of piercings commonly worn.

Neither do I. A belly button piercing looks kind of trashy; eyebrow piercings are okay, though. Generally my mind tends to automatically classify women with piercings in areas other than the ears or eyebrows into the "alternative" and therefore undesirable category.

I suppose a simple pierced ear on a guy would be ok. But certainly not those tribal ear piercing...gauging, where they stretch out the lower earlobe. UGLY.

Multiple piercings...all over the body....Hell no...

I have great difficulty actually looking at a person with multiple piercings. My eye is naturally drawn to the piercing. I hate seeing the tongue studs, especially when you catch a glimpse while they are trying to hide it. I'm wondering what they have stuck in their mouth. I really don't understand the desire to mutilate one's body like this. I don't consider to be art, at all.

LOVE it.

Especially stretched earlobes on men. There is a point where it becomes too much, but I know a guy with 1/2" plugs in his ears, two lip piercings, and full sleeves and he's ridiculously sexy.

I guess if you're not into it, then you're not into it. BUT there are people out there that are into alternative culture and think it's attractive.

For the record, I have no piercings, but I've had my ears stretched, my tongue pierced, two bottom lip piercings, a monroe, my nipples pierced and multiple ear piercings (tragus, industrial, conch and rook).

Piercings and tattoos aren't the commonly done thing in the circles I travel in, generally. I have seen some who looked good in them, but I have to admit I don't understand most of it. I do feel that, sometimes, people will get tattoos and piercings for the same reason some people engage in self-harm: The pain is something they can control in a life that feels it's gone completely out of control. I try to respect everyone based upon how they act rather than how they look.

It depends, however.

You can get everything from a subtle nose piercing:

To the more extreme body modification:

Either way is a personal choice, but I admit I think the first woman is more attractive.

Nope. It does nothing for me, in fact I personally find it a complete turn off ( I am also not keen on tattoos). I suppose I see it as a form of self mutilation and a sign of being a fashion victim , prone to peer pressure and trying to be more "interesting" by it. Whatever floats people's boats but not for me. On either males or females.

She is. Spanish, I believe.

But wait - Isn't this your profile picture?

Judging by the mouth, I'd say you were from Newcastle.

Yes love them on girls/women. With a few conditions 1) it doesn't look overly trashy 2) its not in the eyebrow or nose, anywhere else is fine 3) Good hygiene is kept.

I actually like ears pierced on men, but nothing extreme. Also, it isn't for everyone. Like my straight laced so. There is no way he could wear piercings...tattoos..its just not him.
