If you want the Gymnast to possess the perfect Bun just dial up the Marine Corps. Our Women pride themself on the complete neatness if you will.

Personally I am proud of them with/without Marine Corps type Buns. Ooo Rahh team USA!

Since you brought it up, I wonder about that too. Some of the other teams manage to play just fine while wearing sports appropriate clothing. The same is true of the track and field runners. Some appear to be in their undies, while some wear compression pants and tops.

And...why did the male swimmers wear their spandex trunks so low? I saw butt crack a couple of times.

They are all amazing athletes--but I do question some of their fashion choices. And this is the Fashion and Beauty forum.

That's possible. I would bet you a buck, though, that pretty much no one on this thread ever noticed the tidy buns and ponytails before and thought, "Man, those girls really need to loosen up and get some messy hair or something. No wonder the world thinks Americans are so uptight."

I have ... that second post is from nearly two years ago. I can also dig up some posts where I talk about track and field.

Clearly I regard female athletes as nothing more than Barbies at a beauty pageant.

Let us just think goodness OP isn't a judge. OP may deduct 2 points just because of their hair.

I AM looking at what they're doing and am very proud of all of them. GO USA!!!!

But this is the Fashion and Beauty forum, which by definition tends to be shallow and judgmental. And I'm questioning some of their fashion choices.

Haha, probably. Don't worry-- the high and low scores are discarded.

I think Gabby Douglas's perspective on this is worth consideration:
