I see it here, often on older guys. Because nothing says sexy like a mostly bald guy with long hair!
Yes, I do see it. I don't know if it is fashion statement or simply a guy being too lazy or cheap to get haircuts.
I also think that whether a guy sports long hair depends on what occupation he has and his socio economic class. Or the class he identifies with. You won't find many stockbrokers sporting long hair, for instance.

Yes normally places where people dress more casual or don't care about latest fashion trends you will see it more. Places like Hawaii, Iowa and Kansas your will see people in long hair and dress more casual.
Last time I was in Los Angeles I have not seen anyone with long hair. People in Los Angeles seem to dress up more and more into fashion trends.
Out side beach areas and surfers in Los Angeles people seem to really dress up more and short clean cut from what I could see.
Since the mid-'60's, when men started wearing their hair longer, it's been my experience that people who just don't like long hair on men have always claimed that it's no longer in style.
