right now the beauty standard (not what you or I might find attractive but what most people find attractive) is

Women: Blondes with blue eyes and nice bodies

Men: White males from places like Spain and Italy

Do you think this will pretty much remain the same for years to come or will it change?

I think the standard for blue eyes and blonde hair is already changing. Look at which celebs are popular.

FeelAgain..Personally I don't really feel there is a standard...the ones who feel blue eyed blondes are the most beautiful, always will, society can't really dictate who or what someone feels an attraction for, so anyone that says one look is more beautiful than another is really just expressing their own opinion....and for some it's easier to agree with them, than to have an opinion of their own.

I think you're wrong. I think the women who are most touted for their looks are exotic looking with big butts and/or boobs. I rarely hear anyone go on about blue eyes blondes.

I do not think you are right. Although the blue eyed blonds have their fans, the idea of beauty is much more diverse now. Beauty comes in alll sizes and shapes and colors.

I agree with unexpected error. I think you're being a bit 70s as to what you think is "current".

I'm seeing more of the ethnic look being more in style right now. But I like that it seems that everything is in style, there is no one "type". That's the way it should be, IMHO.

Yes and no. We have changes a little bit, and a certain type of ethnic is in style right now. But it is still pretty exclusionary, and "white centric."

We have now deemed "exotic" ethnic women are in style. Dark hair, dark eyes, "dark skin." But not too dark. In fact, barely darker than your average white person.

Technically, Padma Lakshmi represents this new "beautiful" as well as Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, Sofia Vergara and Kim Kardashian but she doesn't get nearly the same amount of hype for her beauty. I wonder why?
