Here's another thing about shoes that show toe cleavage - most of them aren't particularly comfortable - at least not in my experience, though I realize all feet are different.
I am so glad that women are willing to wear things that must make them miserable just so they can appear attractive. Examples; High heels, skin tight mini-skirts, push up bras, mascara, fake fingernails etc etc. It sure adds spice to my life. Thanks ladies.

I've always worn high heels and they never made me feel miserable. Ever. I never wore skin tight mini-skirts or push up bras. No hoochie-mama here! I have worn mascara on certain special occasions and when appearing on stage. I have had acrylic nails applied because my own nails are so fragile they break without much provocation and so deeply that they are sore for days. 'tis my own nails that make me miserable. I have the artificial ones applied to a reasonable length - not dragon-lady length. When dressed to appear in public, I have always been spectacularly unremarkable.
Sorry if my not being miserable detracts from your spice, gunny.
I forgot to add - toe cleavage makes my skin crawl. I won't wear a shoe with a vamp too short to cover my toes. Of course, when that's all the stores are showing, some ladies will succumb to them and think they look stylish.
It only bothers me on others when it shows a pinching shoe. Like where the creases of the toe get all red and swollen. It just makes me feel uncomfortable. If I am shopping for myself I won't buy a shoe that does that. I hate the way it looks on my foot and I usually walk out of them anyway. (doesnt fit, too wide)
I have slightly weird toes so unexpected shoes give me toe cleavage. My big toe is around 3/4 of an inch bigger than my second toe. The benefit? I can wear many pointy shoes with no problem, provided they are wide enough at the beginning of the tie box. But toe cleavage is common for me since my toes are really short.
I never buy shoes if they show my toe cleavage. It's always been something that annoyed me, but only recently heard of people calling it "toe cleavage." I used to just say "toe cracks," as in "I won't wear anything that shows my butt crack or toe cracks."
When I first heard someone say "toe cleavage," I was like "A-HA! Other people have noticed this phenomenon too!"
Personally, I dont like it. I see toe cleavage I think poorly fitted or poorly made shoes. This may not be the case just my perception.
