The references to Rico Suave and George Michael reflected that fact that ripped jeans were actually en vogue during the 90s (back when a lot of us who are posting were pre-teens or teenagers) and they are not en vouge in 2012.
Is the Carly Rae Jepson song not evidence that at least some people find ripped jeans to be sexy in 2012?

And you are also trying to compare what grown women find attractive to what a 16, 17 or 18 year old girl would find attractive.

I advise you to read the thread title
Also, Ms. Jepsen is 26.
Since the demographics of this thread (and C-D in general) is not for teenagers I would be safe to assume that the reference to "girls" in the title was a call for the "ladies" to chime in.
Also, the target audience for "Call Me Maybe" is for tweens, teens and 20somethings (maybe college age). And again, not the demographic that would be responding to a thread on C-D.
I'm sorry if you can not understand that what a 19 or 22 year old would want is different from what a 28, 32 or 47 year old woman would want....bottom line is ripped jeans on men are not "sexy" to most women over age 25.

ROFL
Methinks you're taking this issue a tad too seriously.
I'm sorry that it chaps your hide so much that some people might find ripped jeans sexy.
Ladies I'm asking you only,
Do you find it sexy when men wear torn up jeans? One of my ex-girl friends told me that it's hot when a guy wears jeans like that. She said it's equivalent to a woman wearing lingerie? Is this true for most of you ladies?
That style reminds me of male hookers. Sorry. I guess I'm more conservative than I realized. What's really sexy to me is a guy in a nice fitting plain white t-shirt and a pair of dark wash Levis that are fitting him RIGHT. Barefoot. Very, very...inspiring.

Why are you not able to see the difference?
You just forgot that there are still 16-18 year old girls today, and that ripped jeans are still en vouge, just not for your age group.
Even for young girls I think the thin areas need to be very specific like in the pic, there aren't full tears, and the jeans look very clean and "fashiony" I don't see the 16-18 year old girls around here finding a truly ripped up pair of jeans attractive. It's definitely a young person's look if it's anyone's though, no man over 25-26 should be wearing jeans with any tears in them.
I remember back in high school, that was the thing to wear. Everyone wore jeans like that
