No it isn't. You assume that it is nasty. But it's not actually nasty. No one who knows me has any idea until I tell them. Then they are shocked.

Yes. Once a week, I take a hot shower to rinse off. Then I soak in a hot tub and exfoliate getting off the dead skin cells. Then I take another shower to rinse off again.
Full disclosure, I will take 1 or 2 quick (like 30 seconds quick) showers during the week because I am active, go to the gym, run, do yoga, hike, ride my bicycle, etc. But I don't use soap or a washcloth. Just a quick rinse.
No soaps needed and my skin is cleaner and healthier than yours.
Liquid soap or some body wash. I pretty much use Dr Bronner's liquid soap or some peppermint body wash I get at Whole Foods. Body wash dries me out too much, and bar soap... don't like.

That's a mighty bold statement considering you don't know any of us.
I use Olay bar soap. Seems more moisturizey than Dove. Body wash doesn't lather well on washcloths, and I can't use those scrubby net things -- skin is too sensitive. Did it once on my legs and for a day it felt like my legs were on fire.
I use body wash as for some reason a while back every bar soap was starting to make me break out and itch. Even Ivory soap was killing me.
Switched to body wash, but I have to stay away from the heavily perfumed ones as I end up breaking out from them also.
Can't use Ivory soap, it burns/inflames my skin-esp. the face (turns it red & hurts like heck), so I make sure to stay away from it.
From trial-and-error I've learned which soap brands/types I can use with no ill effects.

Same here. I use bar soap exclusively, ain't no secret.
Right now I am using Philosophy's The Ice Cream Man French Vanilla Bean body wash. I only use a body wash and it is usually Philosophy. I also like Bath and Body Works Coconut Lime~~reminds me of the islands.
Sometimes a see a hair or something stuck to the soap, makes me wonder what else sticks to soap, so I stick with body wash.
