I'm a 64-year old woman considering Botox injections for cosmetic reasons. I think I'm reasonably attractive for my age, but I do have more facial wrinkles than a lot of people who are even older than I am. (There is an album on my profile page so you can see how much I'd need to have done.) I'd just like to hear feedback from anyone who has had these injections.
Mostly, I'm interested in knowing: Did they really work and for how long? Was it worth the price? Was it extremely painful or not so much? How much did it cost? Thanks!

In all honesty, at 64 years of age, you have earned the right to do whatever you want. I say go for it
I just got my first round of Botox a month ago, and I'm so happy with the results. I'm only 34, but I'm a big squinty scowler (apparently), and I had permanent lines in between my eyes that made me look mad all the time. I asked my dermatologist to go a little light on the dose, so I can still furrow my brows but not quite enough to crease. He put a numbing cream on my forehead before injecting, and I honestly didn't feel anything.
Go to a good dermatologist with lots of experience and you should do just fine.

I agree.... though would say you don't look at all like age 64, and should be proud of how you look naturally. It's sad that so many people focus on the small imperfections and are blind to the rest. Just ask yourself is this the only issue you'll find with yourself, or will it continue with others? For many it's an ongoing process and once they get one procedure done, it's like ordering off a menu.
i want to get it. i know people who have and were happy. Just make sure the doctor not the assistant or nurse does it. that seems to be a issue as to WHO does it even if they are tried a DOC has more training and licenced.
Katz, try Olay's "anti-wrinkle night cream for mature skin." Comes in a little white jar with a black top. It erased my crow's feet lines. Since you and I met IRL you know I don't have any. I told my bank mgr about it last year - she's much younger but had old-looking skin. In a few months the difference was noticeable. Give it 3 months before you decide. It only costs about $15 at Walgreen's.

I know. I've already come to that same conclusion. In a way, that's the hard part. So many doctors just want to turn it over to a nurse or assistent. It will be hard finding one who doesn't.

I actually did buy some and try it, though not for three months. The problem is that I just keep forgetting to use it. I'm so inconsistent when it comes to things like that. I'm terrible when it comes to being diligent on stuff that takes a long time to work, especially when it's something new and I'm not in any kind of a habit. It will be late and I'll be tired, and I'll just fall into bed. I ended up remembering to use the cream about three times a week and I know you have to be more consistent than that. I'm just impatient I guess.
