What do you ladies think of men with beards? Is it attractive? Is it attractive depending on the guy? Not attractive?

A week ago I shaved my beard. I'm not a very hairy guy at all, but I always had some stubble and would usually shave it. I started to get a good amount of facial hair about a year and a half ago (I'm 26 now) but I never had a full blown beard until I let it grow about a month ago. Even though I let my beard grow, it still wasn't even much a beard. Nothing like a santa clause beard but it certainly was noticeable on the sides of my face and chin area. Think Abraham Lincoln beard. I never liked having facial hair until recently and would always shave it off.

Anyway, I just wanted to test out my beard and see how it made me feel. So after a LONG time for it to grow to where it was, I got comfortable with it and grew to really enjoy it since it was something new for me. However, I noticed a lot of women also started to really dig it and a lot of my lady friends gave me some awesome compliments. Even better, women at the bar started to give me more looks and even talked to me more . A friend of mine who LOVES beards (so much so, that I think I might find a way for her to grow a beard of her own), really dug it and ended up admitting that she's definitely more attracted to me because of it (whatever).

Of course, not everyone was a fan. Other friends and family thought it was "whatever". They didn't love it, hate it or dislike it, just thought it made me looked older and were used to my smooth baby face.

For the most part I got good reactions from a lot of people and a lot of women thought it was hot.

I know this is all subjective but I thought I'd see what you women think.

Maybe.

Some guys look better w/ facial hair, and some don't. Some can get away with both. So yes, it all depends on the man himself.

I LOVE beards. SO much. I also love weird facial hair, especially handlebar mustaches. It's the only part of the 'hipster' movement I can really get behind

I love a well-done handlebar moustache, too! I've definitely done some double takes

I was with a beard and moustache for 30 years. I'd prefer a clean shaven face but what are you gunna do? It's not a deal breaker but if a guy has facial hair he better be grooming it regularly.

Some facial hair is OK, but full beards gross me out. Reminds me of my uncle, who would get food caught in his all the time.
