It was....felt like someone dragging a nail through my skin for an hour...! Had no idea it was going to be that painful...halfway through the tattooing, the tattoo artist said to me, "I didn't want to say anything because I don't like to discourage people...but ribcage isn't the best idea for your first tattoo." Meanwhile I'm gripping the table for dear life.
My first tattoo was on my ribs as well. My newest tattoo is also on my ribs but on the other side. Honestly, I'd rather have my ribs tattooed 1000 times over rather than getting my foot or inside of my upper arm tattooed. Those were a lot more painful. My foot was swollen for 3-4 days. I could barely fit my shoe on my foot.
I wish I could see the picture of yours but I am at work and it will not show up.
Haha I was actually worried about that...what if they didn't???
