I was at the Rolex dealer yesterday, I wanted to pick one (very understated) but it was about $9000. I'm planning to start saving for a year then get it. How did you know that yours was genuine? Did you have a Rolex dealer look at it? Where did you buy it at?
That's very similar to mine. I bought it pre-owned from a Rolex dealer for 1/3 the cost of new.
And a custom wristwatch that I had a friend build for me using a vintage Hamilton pocket-watch movement from the 1940s. Sorry, no pics of that one, yet.
Most days I don't wear a watch. I have a Movado that I wear sometimes, but I've had it for years, and find it a bit small for my liking these days. I also have a Michele jelly bean watch that I'll wear occasionally on more casual occasions. I want a larger face watch but I haven't found one I like yet.
I have a Danish watch, can't remember the brand, but it's powder-coated steel. I bought that when I got tired of getting nickel allergy reactions to other metal watch straps. Most of the time, though, I don't wear a watch... digital clocks are on every gadget nowadays, so I don't see the need.
^^ Skagen, you mean.
Watches are essentially item I have to have before step out of the house. I wasn't a fan of watches until recently. Guess it has something to do with growing up lol. I have 5 watches: Kenneth Cole, Swiss Army, and Skagen.
