Converse Chucks. I've got an off-white pair with no laces that go nice with darker wash jeans. I'm 31 and tend to dress very youthful and casually. Not a loafer kind of guy.
Early 20s, I either wear Puma sneakers, loafers or most commonly, black dress shoes. They aren't the most comfortable but I dislike how casual sneakers can make me look, I prefer looking smart-casual.
Depends, but generally something brown and leather. I have loafers and drivers that I wear quite a bit. The only time I wear athletic shoes is when I am running around or, doing something athletic.
I used to wear Nike dunks and Tims like a decade ago, but now that i'm well into my 30's I've left a lot of those streetwear kicks behind. A man's gotta grow up some time.
Now it's Nike Toki's, Superga Sardegna's, SB Janoski's (yes, the Obsidian leather one), Fred Perry sneaks, Vans OTW Westin's, Horween x Vans TH Derby's, Topsiders & Grenson suede Dylan's. I would love to pick up a pair of Viberg's or Alden Indy's, but they're kind of too mountain-man for SoCal.
You're never to old to swag it out with some dunks yo! Who told you that? I still wear dunks, airforce 1's Jays and other Nikes for most of my wear except when I'm dressing up. It's all about what you wear with it. I'm 33.
Can't stand loafers; I'm definitely not a loafer kind of guy.
These are my go-to pair at the moment:
but I also have a pair of 10 year old "chucks" that I wear some, and some herringbone pattern vans-style slip ons.
I of course have several nice pairs of dress shoes for work, weddings, and other nicer occasions but I wear very casual / athletic shoes otherwise.
