My first tattoo was small, and I got it on the inside of my wrist. It's not immediately noticeable, and is easily hidden. That could be some place to consider. It also didn't hurt at all - and I was bracing myself for it.
Like some others have said, getting tattoo is hurt no matter where it's on your body; however, if it represents/reminds you of something that is important to you, I gotta say "Man up and get it done." You might get addicted to tattoo just like I do. Good luck
Ok, so I am seriously considering getting a tattoo, it will be my first one and a horoscope symbol. I'm a guy and I don't want anything stupid and I want it in the right place. I work in a white color job, so putting it on my forearm, would probably be a no no haha. I was thinking about putting it on my back, or my arm. I reallly don't know at this point what would be best. I want it in a place where it won't look bad if heaven forbid I gain weight...is there anyone that can advise me on what I should do?
I've got the perfect one. Have I'M A JERK in Comic Sans MS font stencilled in red on your forehead.
I'm imagining that symbol, about 3 inches in diameter, done to look as though hewn out of rough stone with a VERY light grey shading around the edges, placed in the upper back just below the neck. Not where any shirt with a collar could show it but just maybe a couple inches below the collar line.
I think that would look really cool.
But then I'm a Capricorn, so of course I'm thinking "hewn in stone."
The ankle was very painful with the tattoo that I have that goes around my leg in that area. The skin is very thin, no muscle or fat, right at bone. PAIN.
Tell me about it!! The first one I got on my ankle was a breeze, b/c it was small, but once I started adding on to the area around it and slightly up my calf--- Holy ****.
For the OP, my vote is for shoulder. I have one there too, and it's wasn't bad all.
